Hi! I’m a Japanese-to-English translator and video game localization guy based in Osaka, Japan. I’ve lived in Japan for eleven years as of 2019.
I started watching wrestling while trying out hobbies that would force me to use more Japanese outside of work and got hooked almost immediately. The promotions I follow most closely right now are DDT, Tokyo Joshi Pro, Ice Ribbon and Triple 6.
About the Site
Head, meet Chair is primarily a space for sharing my personal translation projects, at least most of which will be related (however tangentially) to Japanese professional wrestling. Translation is my day job as well, and it’s important to me that the translations here convey both the meaning of and nuance behind the original text. I’m confident that the translations you’ll find here are accurate.
None of the images, etc. from the original sources are included, because I hope you’ll click through to see them and give them the page views they deserve where applicable. Please visit the original sites so they’ll see that you’re interested in their content.
Please feel free to e-mail me at email@example.com with any questions, comments, juicy job offers or if you need help correctly pronouncing “enzuigiri.”
